E. Dean Tessier, 97, of Galesburg, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family.

Dean was born on September 12, 1925 at home in Berwick Township. He was the son of Ezra J. and Grace (Stevenson) Tessier. Dean married Alice Churchill on October 31, 1948 in London Mills. Together they celebrated a marriage that would last 47 years before she preceded him in death on February 6, 1995. He would later marry Mona Wilmot on July 7, 1999 in Washington, IL. Together they celebrated 24 years of marriage. Dean is survived by his loving wife, Mona, at home; children, Shelley (Don) Ryner of Knoxville; Max Kent Tessier and Aaron (Stacy Schafer) Tessier, both of Galesburg; stepchildren, Mark Wilmot of Galesburg, Matt (Dorothy) Wilmot of Rio, Michael Wilmot of Sandwich and Marcie Rud of Galesburg; siblings, Max Tessier of Washington, IL, Loren Tessier of London Mills and Judy Anderson of Avon; six grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and four step great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Alice, son Keith, grandson Bryan Joseph Ryner and siblings, Audrey Rudloff and Dale Tessier.

Dean graduated from school in London Mills. He retired from Midland Coal Company as a big shovel operator. Dean also farmed just East of Gilson when he wasn’t working in the mine. He was a member of the Gilson Community Church. A 76-year member of the Masonic Lodge; being inducted into the London Mills Masonic Lodge on March 5, 1947 and then transferring his membership to the Illinois A.F. & A.M Pacific Lodge #66 in Knoxville. He was also the Financial Record Secretary for the Coal Miners Local for many years. He enjoyed traveling with Mona, and their coffee group meetings at Finley’s with their friends. Dean was a selfless man of very few words with a quirky sense of humor who loved his family tremendously.

Cremation rites will be accorded. Services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the family. Hurd-Hendricks Funeral Homes & Crematory, Knoxville have been entrusted with his arrangements. Robert "Bob' Tessier was born July 10, 1947 in Natick, Massachusetts. Bob bravely enlisted in the United States Army, serving in the Vietnam War. After his service Bob earned a Bachelors of Science from Frostburg State University. Furthermore, continuing his education he then studied to be a transmission specialist at the Lincoln Technical Institute. Bob worked on transmissions for over 25 years. Bob also was a patented inventor. He invented several tools for the automotive industry. Bob was a avid metal detector searching for Civil War Relics for over 30 years. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. Bob was preceded in death by his siblings, James Tessier, William Tessier, Debbie Hadley, and his parents Raymond and Josephine Crosby. Bob is survived by his wife Rhonda, son Jody Reaver and wife Dina, daughter Amy Tessier, siblings Sharon Eggleston and husband Bob, Grandchildren, Mackenzie, Alexa, and Weston, his sister in law Marcia, as well as numerous family members and friends.

Family and friends can gather at the Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 East Church Street, Frederick, MD 21701, on Saturday September 26, 2026 from 10am until the start of the memorial service at 11am. Interment will be held privately.

Gérard TESSIER et Germaine DAGENAIS

 Fils de François-Xavier Tessier et d'Élisabeth Pauzé, du Lac-des-Écorces dans la région des Laurentides, Gérard est né le 5 octobre 1913.

En 1934, le 2 avril, il prend pour épouse une fille de Fridolin Dagenais et de Rose Desjardins, la jolie Germaine, âgée de 15 ans.  La cérémonie se déroule dans la modeste église du Lac-des-Écorces.

14 enfants naissent de leur union:  Christiane, Marie-Ange, Élisabeth, Réjeanne, Yvan, Claude, Georges, Gérald, Francine, Robert, Réal, Mario, Dominique et un bébé mort prématurément.

D'abord établis dans la paroisse du Lac-des-Écorces, ensuite de Chute-St-Philippe, pour se retrouver plusieurs années plus tard vers Notre-Dame-de-la-Salette.

Germaine meurt le 6 avril 1991 à Gatineau et Gérard, quatre ans plus tard, le 12 janvier 1996.

Ils reposent en paix, ainsi que leur fils Claude, au cimetière Ste-Rose-de-Lima, à Gatineau.

Marie-Ange TESSIER

C'est avec tristesse que nous vous faisons part du décès de madame Marie-Ange Tessier survenu le 1er septembre 2026, à l’âge de 89 ans. Elle était l'épouse de feu Réjean Paquette et la fille de feu Gérard Tessier et de feu Germaine Dagenais.

Elle laisse dans le deuil ses enfants Chantal, Micheline (Ghislain) et Serge (Martine), ses petits-enfants Martin, Yannick, Jonathan, Marie Perle et Jérémy, ses arrière-petits-enfants, ses frères Yvan, Georges, Gérald et Robert, ses sœurs Francine, Christianne, Suzelle et Dominique, ainsi que plusieurs beaux-frères, belles-sœurs, neveux, nièces, cousin(e)s et ami(e)s. Elle fut prédécédée par ses frères Claude, Rhéal, Mario et par sa sœur Réjeanne.

Une célébration de sa vie, en présence des cendres, aura lieu le vendredi 16 octobre 2026 à 10 h à la COOPÉRATIVE FUNÉRAIRE DE L’OUTAOUAIS située au 1369, boul. La Vérendrye Ouest à Gatineau. La famille recevra les condoléances à compter de 9 h 15.

Robert A. Tessier, age 85, a longtime resident of Dracut, passed away peacefully at Northwood Rehabilitation & Health Care Center in Lowell on Monday, August 31, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of the late Rita D. Tessier (Langlois) with whom he enjoyed 46 years of marriage prior to her passing.

He was born in Dracut on March 28, 1941, and was the son of the late Armand and Lillian (Marrault) Tessier.

Robert was a proud veteran who honorably served his country during the Korean War. He was a man of deep faith who served as an altar boy from a young age and carried those values of faith, service, and devotion throughout his life. He was known for his strength, resilience, and unwavering love for his family. Family was the center of Robert's life. He was known for his kindness, wisdom, sense of humor, strength, and ability to bring joy and laughter to all those around him. Among the many memories his family will cherish was Robert singing "Elvira" while vacationing at Salisbury Beach, a fun, loving moment that perfectly captured his personality with the joy he brought to everyone he knew. Two of his favorite games were playing 45's and cribbage.

Robert was also pre-deceased by his former wife, Janice Drew Tessier, who passed away in 1998; Janice was the mother of his three children. In addition, he was pre-deceased by his sister Dottie and his sister Terry.

He is survived by his three children, Robert Tessier and his wife Rhona, his son, Randy Tessier, and daughter Stacy Tessier. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren, Shane Smith and wife Mackenzie, Tyler Smith, Hannah Smith and fiancé Bryan Bailey, Mackenzie Tessier, Zackery Tessier and Katie Tessier. He was a proud great grandfather of little miss Lyla Rose Smith and Beauregard Tessier. Robert is also survived by his sister Pauline Daigle, his stepchildren, Donald Marcotte, Donna Marcotte, David Lowe and wife Karen, and sisters-in-law, Lorraine Hopkins and Gloria Langlois. He also leaves behind step grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and all who loved him. Robert was also predeceased by his brothers-in-law Jack Hopkins and Roger Langlois.

Visiting hours will be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, from 9:00am to 11:00am at the DRACUT FUNERAL HOME, 2159 Lakeview Avenue, DRACUT. His Funeral Service and interment will follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chapel, CHELMSFORD.
