Northfield, MA - Jeanette M. Tessier of Northfield, MA, died April 9, 2026 at the age of 87, in Greenfield, MA. Jeanette was born in Chicopee, MA, December 3, 1938, the daughter of Camille and Beatrice Morin. Jeanette married her late husband Gerald, November 26, 1960 and spent their life together of 44 years in Northfield raising their 4 children. Jeanette was a college graduate.

Jeanette was a beloved third grade teacher at Holy Trinity in Greenfield, MA for many years. She then worked for Cooley Dickinson Hospital. She took early retirement to care for her husband. After his death she worked for the Northfield Senior Center.

Jeanette loved gardening, her quilting club trips to Cape Cod every year and especially enjoyed her walks with her dear friends Martha and Barbara. She loved playing bridge with her friends, playing piano and singing. Jeanette was very active in her community that she loved.

She is survived by three sons, Michael and his wife Tina of Florida, Donald and his wife Susan of Northfield, Patrick and his wife Gloria of South Carolina, one daughter, Michelle of Vermont, five grand children, Paula Koogan, Anthony Teassier, Michael King, Eliza Martin, Joseph Martin, four great grand children, several nieces and nephews and her beloved kitty Mittens. She was predeceased by her brother George and sister Claire.

The family would like to thank Greenfield Rehab and Hospice for their loving care of Jeanette.

There will be calling hours Friday, April 17, 2026 from 9:00 A.M. - 10:30 A.M. at the Kidder Funeral Home, 1 Parker Ave, Northfield, MA. Followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 11:00 A.M. at St. Patricks Church, Main St., Northfield, MA. Father Paul Bombadier will officiate.

Kidder Funeral Home, 1 Parker Ave, Northfield, MA is assisting the family with arrangements.
