Our father and friend, Bernard Tessier passed away peacefully with family by his side on May 17, 2026, at the age of 84 years. Loving father of Remi Tessier (Sandy), Bernie Tessier (Lindsay) and Lawrence Tessier. Cherished Pépé to Alyssa Smith (Ian), Marc Tessier, Sara Tessier and Megan Tessier. Dear brother to Joyce Mailloux (Ron). Cousin Bernard will also be missed by Norman Tessier (Pat), Frank Dupuis (Cathy), Russell Tessier (Bonnie), Laurence Tessier (Henry), Noble-Lee Valentine (Jason) and Anna-Lisa Reeve (David). Bernard drove transport truck for 42 years, having travelled millions of miles across North America over that time. As an avid motorcyclist and master storyteller, it brought Pépé great joy sharing stories about his past, family and experiences on the open road. Our Pépé, father and friend will be dearly missed by all those who knew him. Rest in peace, until we meet again “partner.” The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff on 4 West at Met Campus and the staff and volunteers at Erie Shores Hospice.

Visitation will be held at Melady Funeral Home (572 Notre Dame St. Belle River, ON 519-728-1500) on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, from 6-9 p.m. Parish prayers will be held at 7:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held from the funeral home on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at 10:20 a.m. to St. Simon & St. Jude Church for the funeral mass at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Simon & St. Jude Cemetery.
